I have had this left-handed walnut/red cedar handled scratch box since 2006 that I got from Gary Herd, a Missouri callmaker. I was recently viewing some YouTube videos and ran across him running one of his scratch boxes. He sure sounded good on a call that was just like mine only newer. I contacted Gary and bought a couple new strikers from him. One of them is a red cedar and one is a sycamore. I already had a purpleheart. With these three I can go from young hen to old hen and anything in between.
