As many of you have noticed, my time on the site is sometimes far and few between. I know I've let several people down and I'm determined to keep this site as one of the premier on the Internet!
Knowing I want more eyes on the site and to be fair to every member, I've searched low and high and I've recruited two new members to become moderators. I believe these two will make an excellent addition and they are some of the fairest people I've ever met!!
I'd like to introduce B-Ready and Turkey Buster as our two newest moderators on this site...
I know several of us will worry about Stoner and his Kentucky heritage, but I tried to look past this *lol*
Stoner has always been there and I figured if he can handle everything knee pad throws at him, surely he can handle this!!!!
Jon is just a straight up good guy and awesome turkey hunter. He's been a member from the beginning and he has a lot of good input!
Please take it easy on these guys and now we have a trio of great guys!!!
I'm working on a couple of changes to grow and make the site better too! I've listened to several members and will implement several items that people have wanted!

You know... as a former moderator of another forum, frequent user/observer of many others, I can this site is by far the friendliest, most respectable, supportive and best behaved. To say it is a breath of fresh air is an understatement compared to many others. Thanks for all you do Mike and to the new mods. for stepping up to ensure it stays this way.---Jason

Brent and Jon will be great additions as moderators for Oasage Roost along with Steve. That is a great team! RkLu

Just my two cents worth-
I visit/member of other sites also,was 2 other sites until Daryl-gate got a bunch of us banned collectively a-HAhaha !!
Ya have to admit, we seldom have troubles here and it needs to always stay that way. There is a large group of pleasant and supportive members here. We are all here for the same reason- our turkey hunting lifestyle and getting to see the calls each other gets or even makes.
The addition of Brent and Jon add to our foundation here. Both are stand up fair guys that have this sites interest at heart- welcome ya both brothas to help Mike and Steve out.
We are lucky to have a place with the atmosphere and members we do here.
We all appreciate what is provided for us all !!

Thanks for the vote of confidence guy's. I have to say when I was asked, I was a little apprehensive at first, but this is a awesome site (Thanks to Porter *cheers*) with the best of the best people/ call makers in the country. I'm just glad to be apart of it and help out where I can. I look forward to working along with Steve, Jon and Mike to make the Roost an even better place to hang out. I'm very excited about some of the "new" changes coming to Osage Roost's near future. *cheers*

A pirvate message is just that PRIVATE!!! If a person dosen't like the message that was sent they have the option of blocking the sender from furture messages!! If someone shares a message that was sent to them that they did not like with another person than they are just adding to the drama!!

One of the reasons I picked this forum software was due to the fact private messages cannot be read. I did it seeing what happens in my work environment. People get snoopy and I wanted people to know Private Messages are private.
Now saying that, I also know several issues have occurred with PM's. I'm working on a fix for everyone. To keep PM's private and to also provide users the ability to not receive the pm's they do not want too. It's always been an option, but I never documented how to do it :(
I for one guarantee everyone I cannot and do not look at pm's. Yes they are stored in a database and I'd let anyone look at the database and see how easy it is to decipher. It's like a puzzle :( When I got subpoenaed once, I tried to find out what they wanted... I decided enough was enough and gave them the database! I never did hear if they pieced the puzzle together!!!
I do want this to be one of the best sites and I want it to be fair for everyone! Heck I've banned several people early on and let them back on... not sure many sites are like that.
Now back to my regular scheduled programming... ok actually working on tracking down why China wanted to use us as a denial of service attack... might be due to the fact we have a 1gb Internet connection :( Anyone who wants to help me do some forensics, come on down... this part of my job is tedious and stinks *aah*
