The case is 5 1/2" long and the interior is 7/8 x 5". The custom fit cap adds another inch to the overall length. Interior is on center with the eight flats. This is the same style case I use to hold my 1917 take-down calls, only those are Cherry. Took a long time to figure out how to do it with my modest bench top equipment. A lot of sanding and filing while still keeping the eight edges sharp. What makes the case unique is the blind hole.
