This is a call I built for a friend in 2011 from wormy butternut salvaged from Walt Winterbottom's wood shop in Eminence, Missouri . The lid was originally canarywood but the owner decided he wanted to have a lid made from domestic wood instead of the imported exotics . This maple came from my friend Billy Moore who is the southern Maryland NWTF president . It was sitting around in his Grandfathers woodshop for 25 years before I got it and has some great speckling .
