Title: Crotch Walnut plain sider

Just got this one finished. Never done a plain sider before, always inlay and checker my calls. Decided that this wood wad too beautiful to alter or cover in any way. It has to stand on its own beauty as far as wood goes. Fought the tuning with a lid like the swine flu, but finally stumblled across a sapwood Walnut lid I had, figured I had tried everything eles, so I screwed it on. That call came to life. I sell my calls at www.twistingcreekcalls.com, and usually keep one a year for myself...I think I found it in this one.

Wow what a beautiful call!!!!!  I'm glad you didn't checker that call... the beauty really speaks for itself being a plain sider there!!!!

jmck...that is a beautiful piece of wood....but with that grain pattern I don't doubt that it was a bear to tune,,,,good work!!
