Title: 3 More Pot Calls
Post by: ghost5 on May 27, 2013, 10:19:24 AM
First one and the last one are Curly Cottonwood. First is copper over glass and the second is slate over glass. Not real sure I like the sound with this wood. It is soft and stringy seems to deepen and deaden the sound. These might get cut apart. The middle one is Striped Honey Locust slate over glass. This one is a keeper it sounds just like I want them all to sound.

Thanks guys. That cottonwood is really pretty but I'm not a fan. I got it in a trade. The locust I bought about 15 blanks and that is the first one I turned. They were wet so I dried it in the microwave, rough turned it then let it sit for several days to get it dried out.

Nice work . How did your sale go?

I sat there for 10 hours and had 4 sales. 3 different events on the same street and no crowd at all. I think the vendor beside me had 1 sale all day.
