Title: Wife Scores!

It has been tough going here in IN this season.  Very little gobbling and hens are keeping the longbeards occupied all day.  Sunday started out soggy and we got soaked but once the rain passed we headed to where I thought a longbeard may be hangin' out.  Once we got sat down and settled I let out some clucks and a couple yelps on the box and was greeted with a gobble!  To keep a long story short....this bird took his sweet time coming in and it really put on a show for my wife.  It was a pleasure to be able to sit and watch this unfold as he would take a step, strut, gobble, look then repeat just trying figure out why that hen wasn't coming out of the brush.  As he slowly came in I was able to work him up with some cutting and excited calling, it sure was fun.  Once the bird went down the dancing began.  I have dragged her all over these public land ridges and bottoms since opening day and this bird is well deserved.  I am very furtunate to have my wife as my best friend and turkey hunting patner.
The Triune box call and the Sentell bronze glass/slate double sided cedar pot flipped this bird upside down and made him ride the air bicycle.
Wife and son are tagged so I will be toting the gun now.
