Title: A new 1920....
Post by: PA Boxcall on April 13, 2013, 08:30:43 PM: This new trumpet from the Old Geezer showed up in the mail today! A 1920 with desert ironwood. What a beautiful trumpet call, nice lines and an awesome tone. Draws and rolls the yelps easily. I just can't stop admiring this call. I just love the look of the 1920.

And #21 in the Ralph's series.....Blackjack.

A call will sound so much different in the woods and in a field, tempature plays a role also with trumpets. I also have a few new calls that have not called a bird to the gun yet. The season is not over yet.......

This year Wisconsin had a spring from heck. Some snow could still be seen on the fields in the third week of the season. Many mornings it was freezing and below. I found that running a trumpet was more difficult, because of the cold. So much so that I felt that it affected the quality of the calling.
