Title: My bow kills this deer season

I haven't been on much due to hunting during all my free time. I've only bowhunted so far this year so all have been taken with the bow.

9/22/09-Took a 100lb doe at around 8:30AM at about 12 yards. Took pic but too bloody to post and rushed due to heat to take better.

9/29/09-Took a 110lb spike at around 5:30PM at 8 yards. No pics was 85 degrees so had to rush to get him cleaned.

10/22/09-Took a 400lb black bear at 6:15PM at 6 yards.

10/28/09-Took a 145lb 8pt at 7:45AM at 30 yards.

Bear is one per year. Deer is 15 per season no more than 5 antlered deer. I am pretty much set on venison this year. I missed a monster buck 2 weekends ago with the bow. I am going to switch to rifle and see if I can't kill him. Unless it's a good 8 or better they will be allowed to walk the rest of the year by me.

Your state has a very liberal deer season.  Good for the hunters.  Good luck with that big one. RkLu

Well, Deacon, that is pretty impressive , especially with a bow... that is a really good bear and a not too shabby buck....way to go..hope your season continues to be as successful.......post some more pictures

That is one fine bear and a bunch of venisen!!! You`re going to have to purchase another freezer!!!
