Title: Angel wings

I read somewhere not sure if it was here, about angel wing marks on the bottom of lids. Is this a good thing? And what does this mean? Thanks, Brian

Any box call will have angel wings as the chalk is worn by friction on your sound boards. The shape and alignment of these will tell you a lot about how the paddle is running on the box. They should line up, if not you have a problem with the paddle radius itself or the sound boards on your box.

Dave is right...for ex: if they are short then maybe your rail radius is too sharp
