Nice work John, you never hear much out of people using hackberry for much of anything. That will make this bow that much nicer and unique. I know from cutting firewood over the years that hackberry and sugarberry trees are real "springy", and the wood holds it weight for some time, even after it has dried for years. Bring one of those bows into PA. , and I'll see that your car is loaded up with cases of that Yuengling to take back to Michigan !! And above all, we'll chase some birds around when were not chasing a few beers !! nice job !! *cheers*

Thats an art form I respect tremendously right there. Very cool of you bud. I have wanted to get into collecting hand hewn box like that for sometime but turkey calls leaves me broke now. You should go to Ski Denton Pa for the worlds largest traditional archery show. Its a blast and is several days long anually. People camp there, party and shoot trad. archery gear all day everyday. You should go just to see all the awesome bows people make there. Good place to learn a lot too.---Jason

Thanks Jason! I've just heard about the Rondevous in PA, and OJAM in OK....I gotta get to those sometime....and while I'm in PA..i'll be looking up Lonnie for some bird chasing and Yeungling tasting!!

John, You should really plan on that sometime soon, My hunting camp is only 20 miles from Ski-Denton Statepark, great area, we could get together with Jason and have a real good time of it. Ski-Denton is in Potter County PA., just south of the New York state line if you search for it on a map or Goggle earth. Its located along the famed ROUTE 6, between Coudersport and Galeton. Awesome place !!
