Got in the shop for a bit and cranked out a few short boxes. The first 5 are Eastern Red Cedar. For the others I took a pic using bad light so the patterns in the mineral stained poplar would show, good light blew them out. Last two pics show them in regular light. That was all for that wood only enough for 3 calls and a couple of extra tops :(. That was some pretty wood.

Some good looking turkey calls you made there Tommy. You need to find some more of that Poplar.

Steve that piece was from a lumber mill burn pile and it sat out in the shed for about 4-5 years before I cut it. I think I only had one piece of it. I might find another one but I doubt it.

Never know what you'll find in a lumber mill burn pile. I'd be gowing back.
