I recently ordered my first Harold Fowler strikers and they should be here tomorrow. Any suggestions on your favorite ones? I ordered two more yesterday after Harold told me these were two of the strikers he would never hunt without in his vest, a 2pc with an Apitung stem and Osage head, and a 2pc with snakewood stem and Rosewood head. The type of head is simply for adding weight and balance to the striker. Both of these, along with purpleheart, give you the necessary weight for these lighter stems. My first order was a 3 pc special and also a one pc Ipe. I really enjoyed talking to him and we ended up talking about family. I told him we had a special child with Autism and that he had multiple heart surgeries before age 3. To my surprise, the next time I talked to Harold, he told me he had added my son to their prayer list and church. He also shared with me his battle against Cancer, or the big C as he called it. He did get a good report last week and doesn't have to go back for a year. He is a fine fellow and I can't wait to try his strikers. Any more favorites or got to have ones out there?

I had the honor of meeting Mr. Harold last year in Nashville and bought three of his strikers.
An Ipe, a Bloodwood and a Fiberglass/Corn cob.

Mr Harold is a fine man and makes some awesome strikers. Couple of my favorites are an oak with goose bone in the tip and a burnt Osage top with snake wood shaft. Congrats on yours.

Harold, is one of my dearest friends and one of the most cherished friends I have ever had. Upon our very first meeting we both felt as if we had been friends forever. He makes some Killer Sticks and I have a few.
Some of my favorites are Desert Ironwood, 2 pc Snakewood, and Katalox. My special ones are 2 different 3 pc African Blackwood Deer Antler tops with Carbon shafts one with Elephant Ivory Tip and one with Elk Bone Tip, along with a 1 pc made of Heart Pine that came from a beam in the roof of the original Hersey's Chocolate Factory. Congrats on your new Strikers.

Harold is a tough cookie after battling cancer twice. He is back in the shop. I used to buy one every year from him at the Perry turkeyrama. He is a fine man. I'll post up some pictures later
I love all my strikers from him, but my favorite is a apitung with walnut upper.

I usually have 4-6 strikers in my vest but I simply will not go to the turkey woods without one of Harold's Ivory tipped strikers as it is my go to striker!

Those are really sharp John. I need to call Mr. Harold and get a couple like those.
