Title: Venison Buritos
Post by: hunter22 on February 27, 2013, 06:05:51 PM
Do you need a recipe to use some ground venison? Here's a good one. I will show the finished product first. My wife normally does not eat venison but she loved this dish. I will probably let David and Robert try it out the next time they come.

Brown 1 lb. of ground venison, add in some chopped onion while it’s browning. Salt and pepper to taste.

Drain grease and pour venison into mixing bowl. Add 1 can cream of mushroom, one can red enchilada sauce, one can refried beans and a small can of chopped green Chili’s.

Stir the mixture all together. Grease a large baking dish. Take several flour tortillas and fill each one with some of the mixture, roll up, and lay in baking dish seam side down. You should be able to squeeze in several.

Meanwhile, take a one pound block of Velveeta and a can of rotel, mix together and microwave (basic cheese dip). Once it’s all melted, pour the cheese dip on top of the burritos that are in the pan.

Cover with aluminum foil and put in the oven at about 350 for 30 minutes. You can spice them up as much as you like by adding other peppers, etc

Zumer,

I would probably use a pound of ground beef before I used the loose deer sausage. But I guess it would depend on how spicey the sausage is. I am sure it would be good though.
