As many of you all know I have been laying low and taking care of my families affairs since my dad died. I have been trying to get a few calls done and I made a commitment to myself to finish my competition calls and the donation call for the silent auction. Here is the donation call, it's a Cherry over Yellow Poplar in my hunter design. I decided to post it mainly for those folks who will not be able to attend the convention this year and for a recognition of respect to the NWTF. I hope I have done the NWTF proud and hope it helps the group of calls bring some good $ for the cause. Being invited to build this call was honor for me. I contemplated what to burn...well, as you can see I decided on an ALL TURKEY theme. Thanks for looking everyone and I will see you soon. I also want to thank everyone for their understanding on their call orders. Once I return from Nashville I will be scrambling to finish many orders for spring.

Scott, very beautiful call. I like how the turkey is inset into the feather on the lid, thats a great touch and uses all the available space on the lid too. And, it just blows me away that you have labeled it as a "hunting call version" !! How tough is that cherry to burn on ? thanks for the post for those of us that cant make the trip down, Lonnie

I love it ! That is a super looking call Scott . Glad you could squeeze out some shop-time finally . Thas a great addition to the raffle and sure to draw some attention in Nashville ! By the weay , who are those two guys in the hayloft ? One kinda looks like you !

Thank you everyone, it really means a lot. I was a bit nervous about this build...what wood to use, what style, Hunter versus Parquet, getting the sound I wanted and then what to burn...seems like most it all works itself out in the end. I am excited to see all the calls and all those who can make here from the roost and other sites.
