Title: Not a Call But Will help Make Some
Post by: ghost5 on February 02, 2013, 03:54:56 PM
I finally got off the couch after a miserable night long enough to sand and clear a new handle for one of my carbide tools. Still needs a copper wire wrap ferrule but here it is. Poplar center cherry sides, 15 1/2" long, got a couple of boo boos but it is a handle and is going to get used. No stain just shot with several coats of lacquer which gave me a headache  *wha*.

Next one is planned, poplar center with walnut I call my Oreo pattern  ;D. Going to add a couple of other things just cuz I can. Hope to get it done and posted soon.

That looks great Tommy. Where did you get the carbide cutters again?

Thanks Steve. They are custom pieces and they guy that made them lost access to the shop when it moved to a new location so he isn't doing them now. I think a couple of other guys at woodworkingtalk.com (http://woodworkingtalk.com) are making them for sale. You might check the classified section there. If I find a link i will send it your way.
