Just wanted some opinions on your favorite double sider. To be honest I never cared much for them until I heard Pat Strawsers blue mahoe, glass on one side slate on the other. It is one fine pot call, the slate side has some of the best purrs, clucks and soft yelps you will here. Scoot

A Chris Jones Harmonden Agate two sider. Wish Chris would start making calls again.

I have two of Pat,s double sided pot calls, Both are really nice sounding calls .the glass side makes some really nice yelps and cuts and the slate side makes the best purr's and clucks. I make sure it's in my vest every time i go hunting.

I make a glass over slate that seems to be pretty good. A customer has been using it in friction calling contest and has won a few of those. I have called in several birds with one that I carry. Have not had an opporunity to run any others. I have heard good things about Roberts Bros in Oakwood, GA

I have an older Joe Vaughn Crystal and slate in bocote and a Roberts Brothers Crystal and slate in wormy chestnut. both are top notch. You can still get Roberts brothers, but i dont think they come in the Crystal anymore just glass.
-
Andy Kaiser's double glass is the best double sided call I've run/heard up till now. Not sure if he makes them any more, I got mine about 6-7 years ago from him.

I have an old Tuscarora Legend glass / slate that has a great sounding yelp and purr. The slate makes for some fine soft talk. Years ago I dropped that call and of course landed glass side down. Sent it back and the replacement glass sounds even better.

I used to make this type of pot call and there's a few guys in my area that won't use any other pot than the one I made them. That being said there just didn't seem to be the interest in this style of call so I stopped making them.

Robert Bros from Oakwood Ga. is one of my favorite calls.

Tom 2 Timer by Shadow Turkey calls. Triple slate by Shadow Turkey calls.

Me too. I really wanted one

I am still looking......

I agree with Mark on the Supreme Strut Buster. I have killed a couple really nice gobblers with this Dogwood slate/glass double sider from Jack Mincey.

I don't use them often but once in awhile I'll take one that Harry Blodgett gave years ago. Best sounding one I have had imo.
-
The 3 I have are from David Mills, Jerry Hampton and Jack Mincey. David's and Jerry's are glass over slate and Jack's is slate over slate.
David's see's the most vest time.

I have one made by Tim Clayton thats great!!

Well all I have is 2, First is Pappy's cocobolo copper over slate, The 2nd I don't remember the makers name right of hand, but its a cherry pot aluminum over beaded glass. Both of them talks turkey. Out of the 2 I will pick Pappys due to you can get their attention and sweet talk them with the slate.

I agree with big Tom. Tim's call is awesome *up*

I have two that I use and last year these were the ones that ended up in my vest the most. One by Daryl in slate over copper. That is a killer call that I love and then one ole Ed Jenkins made slate over slate... I love the sound of slate over slate and it harassed several MO birds last year :)
