Title: Carved shooting/ hiking staff

A local fellow that happens to work for the Dept of Defense contacted me about doing a hiking staff that would double as a shooting stick.  He also said he would like his kids names and likes also etched into the wood.  after some shop time this is what I came up with.  The Eagle represents his work and the gun rest.

Good job.......just wonder when he has time for hicking and shooting with all those kids....

To cool Gregg, Great idea inserting the rest through the staff like that. This guy wouldn't be Mr. Pittman would it?

Never meet any of them, but made a call for him for Christmas from the girls. We had a heck of a time with the mail back and fourth (no ones fault) and that's how I remembered  *lol* I have talked to him and had made him another call earlier last year. Like you said they seemed like real nice folks.
