Title: a couple of classic parquet shortboxes

Finally getting back in the shop. I wanted to do a few of these last year but put it off till now.  Gotta make sure the chisels are still sharp.  ;)

A butternut and walnut with walnut end blocks and cypress accents.

A spalted pecan body with mulberry/walnut/sumac end blocks. Walnut lid with a little inlayed antler gobbler silhoutte.

Well LT, I'd say your chisels are in fine shape!  Nice work.
