Fellas,
Im looking to add some turpin calls to my collection. Who makes a good sounding turpin call? I would also like the chaulk box as well. I did have the opportunity to play a Frank Cox turpin once and it sounded amazing, but im not made out of money. Thanks for all your help. TJ

Billy Buice, Irving Whitt, Richard Hudson, John Eddelman, just to name a few.

I have a Hen Box made by Richard that will get a lot of vest time next spring. Great sounding call.

You will not go wrong with any of those callmakers Bill mentioned. I would also add 2 other names for consideration, Ed Jenkins and Bill Lyman, and of course there are more, but I just can't think of them at the moment.

All excellent Turpin call makers! I will also mention Charlie Parrish.
-
I own 3 of the 4 that Bill mentioned. They are some fine calls. They will definitly see some time in the woods. I need to add a couple of those names mentioned.
-
Right you are there Phil, Charlie is one of the talented *up* callmakers I forgot.

I will have 8 or 10 Turpin and Striblings at Bill's -"Tools of the Trade" booth in Nashville. If you would like to hear mine, the invitation is open. Come on by. All of mine will have the Brass Top Hats, and my patent pending chaulk holder. I will be there late Friday AM through Sat. Pm.
