this Christmas. ;) I talked with Billy a few months back about making this trumpet and he came up with some great ideas before we were done. The barrrel is one of his 6 1/2" in Macasser ebony with some awesome figure with a copper ferrule and a mastadon ivory mouth piece. MERRY CHRISTMAS *bannana* (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a336/callmakerman/002-1_zpsddff4eb1.jpg) (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a336/callmakerman/001-3_zpsddfc49e6.jpg)

Ill send you a PM when I send it so you can ask him for one. Thanx Del and you can bet I'll give him a call. Micarta is my favorite handle on all my knives. It has great grip and a good feel to it and I'm sure it would make a nice mp.

Do you want some micarta?
My Dad doesnt make knives any more, so I was after him to bring some of his wood. He has some great stuff. He brought three pieces of the micarta. 3 to 4 foot long by 6 inches by maybe 1/2 thick. I can cut you a few pieces if you want.
I also scored on some old Mexican and south American rosewood. I think one piece is desert iron wood. Dad had ripped em down for knife handles already, probably only be good for Trumpet mouth pieces, scratch box sides, or striker tips.
