I had a guy ask me to make some calls for his boys for Christmas. He wanted to supply the material I said no problem just meet me at the house. He showed up with a walnut gunstock blank from the 40s or early 50s from the looks of it. His Dad had bought it to get a stock done but never did. I took it and milled out what I needed for the calls and just got them finished up. I took them to my engraver and had their names put on top along with Custom Built For and the date. I think they turned out ok.
Hope the boys like them.

Thanks guys. I dropped them off yesterday and their Dad loved them.
I also did one for a 4 year old in Alabama. He had one but it went missing. His was mineral poplar body with walnut sides and paddle. He got to open his today and found a wood duck call, goose call and a bandsaw box I made for him too. He was a happy little boy. We threw in some fishing lures and a hat for him. See pics of him made my Christmas.
