I got the following gorgeous matching calls from Mr. E. (Jake St. John) back in July 2012. One is the East of the Slash and the other is a Special Gator Gobbling Stribling style calls. Both have ribbon mahogany paddles and Ambrosia Stained Walnut. The East of the Slash call has a Tom Turpin reproduction Top Hat in the lid, the first one Mr. E has done like this.
They both talk pure turkey and both can be used as a locator or finishing call. Each call can make loud and soft cackles, cuts, and yelps! The Gator Gobbling Stribling also makes an excellent gobble! The East of the Slash call easily makes the signature “high/low yawk!”
Regreatably, I did not get chance to use them this fall, but they will be in my vest come next spring!
