some scraps. Like most callmakers I save all kinds of cutoffs and what not thinking I'll use them on something. I was in the shop one night when I thought that the thin pieces of snakewood that were sitting in my drawer need to be used for something. I looked around and found some thin pieces of curley maple, chestnut, wenge and mineral poplar laying around so I started gluing up a few striker blanks. I know that there's nothing special here but I do like the look when their done and they sound real nice on the calls I've run them on.
