Title: Homemade Strikers

Most of you guys know how much I like strikers. I would hate to guess how many I have. Here is one set of 26 different wood strikers I have hand made. I start with a 1 1/4" square X10" block and use a pocket knife and sandpaper to get the finished product. They are no West Augusta strikers but I have killed several gobblers using strikers I have made.

What the... I had no idea...  I would venture to say... NO ONE has as many strikers as you!!!! 

How long have you been doing this?

Mike,

I have been doing this a few years. I take the square block and whittle on it to make it round and go from there. I have an old Case pocket knife that I have probably used to make 150 strikers. I have given a lot of them away. Some of the hard woods take a couple days or more to finish. I like to whittle while sitting in a deer stand or on the fishing bank.

If they call in turkeys that's all that matters. Wouldn't mind having one myself. You taking orders?

Good eyes Chuck. There are 27 strikers in that group. There are two made from persimmon wood. I am trying to decide which one of them to keep with this set.

I have ran a few of these and they are pure "turkey killers". Perfect bite and balance!

ya have mentioned that before, but it looks like you have really been spending time at it dude....they look really good.

Wow Rickey, I can't imagin you making them useing a pocket knife, I have a hard enough time making them with my lathe. yours are shaped just like mine, like a baseball bat. I really like em. Great job.
