Sorry to bust the bubble, but this e-mail hoax has been circulating the net since 2004.
 
It's one of the ongoing "top ten" urban legends. The only thing that changes is the name of the "attorney."

Snopes maintains a website dedicated to rooting out what's true and what is not true. You'll find this hoax listed on their top ten.
 
In the early years, it only mentioned the newspaper USA Today. Now, I see, it's claiming to have been on the Good Morning Today show ...talk about whisper down the lane, this is really blooming.

I always enjoy seeing the myths that go around.  Some really make me chuckle :)  We all fall for them from time to time!!!
