Here is a shortbox in Black Limba with Redhart lid and base. Its a call I owe ole Shadetree from a trade for a few of his famous scratchers. Bob called and had a idea that I had almost tried last year...the boys mind never rests I dont think.. *lol*. He wanted a call where inside the checkering ya can see another color to offset it and make it pop. Pop it does....dont think ya would need a flashlight on a dark night with this one ROTFLMBO....its bold in color and loud and proud in sound too. The right side starts off kinda clear and breaks into some rasp, the left side starts off with rasp and gets nasty raspy in the end of the stroke. Purrs really easy and has a good gobble in her too. Hope ya like her Bob......roll a few with her soon. Spent the whloe weekend trying to get the lid right,3lid later I finally got one right *fall*-----I won this trade---I got plural scratchers for one call ;D

Jeff, that turned out nice, saw that in its early stage but the final product is really something. I am sure Bob is going to roll some gobblers with her. Congrats to both of you on a fine trade

She's a beau Jeff a true beaut and Ole Bob has been lost lately so this'll be good for him to use to find his way back home :grouphug:

This call came out every bit as nice as I pictured . Ive been after Jeff for a redheart and limba call for awhile . One day while I was thinking too hard about turkey calls I had the idea for the exposed color underneath the checkering which really highlights the colors . I ran it by Jeff and he said he had been thinking of a similiar idea and I told him now was the time to bring it together . Jeff knows I love to glue wood together and I knew it wouldn't be easy to pull off. The end result is fantastic and if that wild thing sounds as good as it looks then I'll be rolling some more heads with another Twisting Creek call ( I've bloodied 3 of em so far !) . Great job Bud and I can't wait to get my hands on that one !! And I hope to see blood on one of those scratchboxes one day !! *ride*

Boy I'll tell ya what...those colors are the same ones that Frank wants me to use in a box call for him *aah*...told him the 1960's are all done RkLu RkLu and I have been there and done that *peep* *bannana* But Frank is the customer....

I guess they help with making his new box calls. He sees them in 3D now and makes that apple pie look clear.

Bob i am glad you brought up apple pie. Seems like those guys have been in the apple pie shine again. I knew Witter was a big fan of it but seems that Joe has turned Ol Snakeboots into a fan also. I told Jeff to take an easy when we were in is shop but I guess he let it get the best of him too. Joe I know that you owe Brent and I a jar of that apple pie but seems like you have been supplying Witter and McKamey and not your home boys. I see how it is. ??? ??? ??? Just to let you guys see this is were it all started.
