Title: Redheart Aluminum over Glass Modified instructions please read

This is a 3 inch Aluminum Redheart pot that I boiled in boiled linseed oil which stabilizes the wood and gives it moisture protection as well as a beautiful finish.
It played well with a Dymondwood striker and a Osage striker. Real good rasp and very loud.

Guys if you have never tried this and are curious there are precautions that need to be taken. It's a rare thing for a turkey call, seldom being necessary. But it will give you a good wet weather wood pot with an aluminum or copper surface without the worry of damaging an expensive pot.

After much question and criticism I thought I should clarify. So some of you will know there is more to the process than just boiling wood. I add 1 Tablespoon of Carnubba and 1 Tablespoon of modified beeswax and enough "boiled" linseed oil to cover the wood and bring to a slow boil . Boil between 30 minutes to an hour. Then after drying 5 days (completely dry by the way) I sand with 800 grit and then add 2 coats of Tung Oil and when dry buff to a DRY hard durable finish. NOT a Bad Idea. Any questions please call. Also Auggiedog55 (Bruce) is getting this call give him a couple of days and ask him.

Got the call in today. The finish is great and this call will SCREAM. RkLu Its going to be my rainy day call.Birds will die with this one. Thanks to you and Adam so much.You guys go the extra mile.Its just what the doctor ordered. *gobble*
