Title: Man, I love this laser!
Post by: longbeard48 on August 25, 2012, 10:06:46 PM

I'm slowly getting the hang of this new laser engraver.  Pretty high tech for an old country boy!
Made this Right to Bear Arms scratch box  for a friend who is REALLY into guns.
Here is the front...

Nice job Tom . I like 'em better without the engraving though . Look more custom that way . Nice call , I am sure your friend will love it .

Glad to hear you made the plunge into the laser world. Looks like you've got it down already.

Cuzn Mike,
I might do contract work!

Gary,
It is a Chinese laser, complete with instructions written in "Chinglish."  In between the hay baling and moving cattle around, I have managed to decipher the instructions and actually sat down and rewrote the important parts for future reference!  I had to buy a laptop and more software, too.  It is an investment that I doubt will ever pay for itself, but it sure is fun.

Jeff,
Country boys can survive! If this thing kills me, it can always be used as a coffin to bury me in.  Takes up 1/4 of the playroom in the basement, and Nina is not very happy about it, but I didn't want to keeep it down in the shop.

Hey Cuz,
When you're ready for contract work, let me know. I've got a bunch of paddles.
