OlBob sent me a fine peice of dogwood from Peck Ranch. It was a little more than I expected to say the least.
Thanks Bob

Congrats on a fine scratcher!

I bet it's a nice one, if you would show it! Can't tell much from the bottom of a call. ROTFLMBO *up* *up*

Glad you like it David . That's what you get for sharing the toys in your sandbox , lol . On my last rip to Eminence, Missouri , David invited me by to talk turkey . While I was there he gave me a pile of wood to take home . Unfortunately since I was in my hatchback , I couldn't take all of it that he offered . One piece that he gave me was dogwood that was salvaged from The Peck Ranch in Missouri . This is where the Conservation Dept. has chosen to reintroduce elk in Missouri . This tree was taken down when they were clearing areas for the elk . The dogwwod was very nice to work with and this won't be the last time you see some of it . Thanks again for the wood David, next time I'm bringing a truck , lol !!

Here's a picture of the call . I used a piece of the bark to make a stand for the call too . Thanks for looking !

Bob, looks like a killer to me!! *up* *up*

Bob - that is a killer looking caller. I am enjoying the lack of grain and the soft color tones for a change. The only thing that I am wondering now is why my scratchers did not have those cool stands - must have run out of wood ROTFLMBO
