Thought I would post a few pics of me grinding it out in the shop this weekend and to let y'all know it don't happen by waving a magic wand *bannana*. Well, actually it does and the guy in these pics is really my stunt "magic elf" double. ROTFLMBOIn these pics I am tuning several calls and truth be told this process is bitter sweet. If I have done all the right steps up to this point the calls 'should' tune, well...relatively easy, but honestly that only happens once every 7-10 calls. On the other hand, when you do get them tuned...it shear satisfaction and excitement when feathers leap out of the box! After a point my ears get saturated and I have to step away so they can 'freshn' up, but no problem though, there are always 30 other steps in the build process I can work on, like sanding, sanding and well, more sanding *aah*. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

There's no way you work there, It's to clean. *lol* Your right about box calls and the tuning. It drives me nuts but when you get it right. *bannana*

Your shop is too clean Scott. But I would sure like to go through that wood rack.

Well, ike I said Brent, that's my stunt double...what the heck does he know about proper tuning tools & *dance*procedures

Steve,
I/m kinda fussy about a clean shop while I work...it's pretty small and I need every square inch workable, but also once all the bulk work is done on a batch of calls I clean up before I start tuning.
That wood is one of two racks like that and it doesn't include any of my blanks..there actually is a few key pieces in there for you, some nasty stinkin french cheese smellin stuff harder than granite wood
