*up* Hey guys, I know the majority of ya'll here are also contributing members of OldGobbler and we would love to have any of ya'll that have not joined the chapter to join. We've got some great hats and decals and ALL of the proceeds go to the Wheelin' Sportsman. Thanks guys.

Being a Member of your LOCAL CHAPTER, allows for Great Networking, in all areas of Hunting, and you get to meet LOCAL Hunters, and Fellow Members who share the same interest's ... Keep the HOME FIRES BURNING, Join your LOCAL CHAPTER TODAY .... *up* *ride*
Is it me or do I detect some friction here?
I don't see any, everyone seems very supportive and in agreement.

No actually it is quite apparent what message Southern Spur is trying to send with his High Lights and why did SS Custom Calls delete his comment about the thread and the link? His comments must of been enough evidence of some friction or problem that he or someone felt compelled enough to delete his post and comment. So yes maybe it appears supportive right now but before the one post was deleted it sure didn't.
I like to support both and really have a special interest in the Wheelin' Sportsmen end of the organization as I have a family member who loves to hunt but was born disabled and is wheel chair bound. I love the devotion and support that the NWTF puts toward the disabled hunter. I highly recommend and support those that support the Wheelin' Sportmen. *up*

100% agree!!! One of the MO forums (Missouri Whitetails) I'm on dedicates a lot of their time to helping the disabled and youth. Here in MO, our Conservation department spends a lot of time helping the disabled too. Any way we can get more people in the outdoors is a good thing! NWTF is one of the best outdoor programs I've seen. That's probably because I'm a turkey hunting nut!

Hey Timberghost... I joined a while back...pm your name and address and I will send you a free hat.

Now why would I send my name and address to a complete stranger over the internet for a hat? Thanks for the offer by I don't need the hat and I don't just send my address to anyone over the internet. You could be a scam artist for all I know or even a stalker. And why would you even offer me a hat as that doesn't even make sense.
Being a Diamond Life member and a long time supporter of the NWTF I recomend you join a Chapter that is local to you. Every Chapter that I know of not only works for the NWTF as a whole , but they do a lot for your community. My understanding is the Old Gobbler Chapter is an Alabama based chapter and all the "Numbers" etc. go towards that area , not yours. I personally would rather support the programs in my area and get what ever benifits from the NWTF which come from those "Numbers" such as guns for your banquets , food plots on public hunting areas etc. But do get involved , whichever way you decide to do it. Call your local RD and talk to them , you can get their number from the NWTF web site. If you can't find it get in touch with me and I will do what I can to help.
Well let me think here a second .... ::).......Scam artist .....nope !!...... Stalker ? ? *peep*.....Well maybe I need more time to think about that one. ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO
I know you know who I am (Irving Whitt) , I don't hide under multible names and go around causing havock and disrupting other forums for what ever reason or reasons you guys have.Being a Diamond Life member and a long time supporter of the NWTF I recomend you join a Chapter that is local to you. Your understanding is not completely correct, YES the Chapter is based out of Alabama. The OldGobbler Outreach Chapter is internet based, obviously, but like all chapters, needed a physical address. The location was chosen because the guy who had the idea in the first place lives in Alabama, he contacted his local RD to see if it was at all possible to create such a chapter.
Now as far as the "Numbers" go, Alabama gets nothing, all dollars raised go to benefit the Wheelin Sporstman Outreach Program. Alabama gets NO incentive guns either.
So I don't need you to tell me anything about it.
Hmm, so you helped get this started Mr. Whitt? Never heard that before!! :o Maybe they should give a public thank you for all who helped with the chapter.. Would be a good gesture on their part, don't ya think?

Not something I am too proud of.

I will remain civil like I told Mike I would and only state the facts that I know are to be true. I only corrected you where you were incorrect, I never said that you were wrong, just not exactly correct. My reply wasnt to you at all, it was for the forum members so that they will understand everything correctly.
In the future please consider being more polite, if in fact you are such a HUGE supporter of the NWTF, why then all the harshness in your tone.......Oh yeah, I forgot....your (Irving Whitt).
OS Mike, I tried, sorry.
It's pretty simple , when I feel something is for the good of others I give my all to support it. When I see something that is wrong , I do what I can to correct it. In this case I 'll put as much distance between it an myself.

My main point was don't turn it into a local vs. non local chapter debate.
