JT Beckhart made duck calls in the late 1800s and early 1900s using only hand tools. Recently one of his calls sold for about $100,000 at auction. I tried my hand at making one similar to it. Differences are I copied him, used power tools, it's not 100 years old, and his was a masterpiece. Gives a guy a renewed appreciation for the old call makers who did it all by hand and are still the best. I'll never know how he kept his lines so straight. Here is a link to pics of Beckhart's original: http://www.customcalls.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1342548259
