A while back I made a Davis style call from the directions in his first book. I wanted the wooden case to go with it but could never figure out how to make it until a few weeks ago. The flats are roughed out and finished with a fine mill file and a scraper. It took a whole lot of time, but was worth it. The case has an 8.5" blind hole which holds the call by friction.

Thanks for all the kind words. In my 16 years of call making the case was the most difficult piece of work I have turned out on my bench top equipment.
