for me. Eight or nine years ago I made a series of short boxes that did not have bases that extended out to the sides like normal short boxes.... I called them "footed boxes" .   I started to make some Turpin style with contrasting bases then...but put it off until now.
These two boxes are walnut with tiger maple bottom ends...a new design for me in both wood contrast and box size. I haven't decided on the lids yet..but I put a picture of some here anyway.
