Title: Carved coffee table projected finally over

After a year of carving, I finally finished this project for my Den.  I built the table out of ash and enclosed the scene with plexiglass.  The scene is a carved Brook a Brown and a Rainbow trout all 17 inches long chasing minnows in a creek bottom.  The Brown trout is ready to take a Green Drake (insect) off the surface, while a Green Heron watches over the water at the ready. Most the time was spent putting the very fine individual trout scales on each piece taking me around 30 hrs to complete. total time was around 330 hours to complete the project. I have a PA State carving competition in a few weeks and finished just in time. Thanks for looking.  Gregg

DANG, those fish look good enough to eat! luv the stump coming up and out and the loon sitting on top of it! very nice, its a winner!

 Wow ! You finally got that thing finished and it is a work of art ! I know it has taken up most of your spare time lately but it was worth all the effort you put into it . You really have to look at it for awhile to catch all the details that you put in . You begin at the top with that bird who is looking for a meal and you see the fish down on the next level who are also looking for something to eat . Multi-leveled and three dimensional masterpiece ! The composition is great and the craftmanship is first-class my friend . You have definately outdone yourself and that piece will do well in the competition ! Good luck !

The tought and detail that went into this MASTERPIECE are unreal.

That is simply awesome Gregg!!  It turned out fantastic!  So glad that I actually got to see it in person! I am sure that it will do extremely well in the competition.
