Here's a scratchbox I just finished for my friend Dave Smith . Dave sent me some wood a few months back and this is what I came up with . It is made from bay laurel that Dave cut along the road in CA. and wormy laurel . The soundboard and inlays are purpleheart and the base is maple/purpleheart. The striker is bay laurel , purpleheart and ipe . These calls are raspy with lots of tone . Anyone interested in getting one , let me know. Thanks for looking !

I'm speechless Bob. You outdid yourself on this one. I got just the spot in my vest for that one.
Both of the woods used are Bay Laurel, the wormy stuff came from a laurel tree that was killed by beetles. The darker wood was from a laurel stump.
