I had to share this story with you guys. Last Thursday night I was at home trying to take care of my wife who was sick as well as a 4 yr old daughter who was also sick and a 14 month old daughter who was feeling great! I was cooking some supper and getting a ton of calls from work because we were having a ton of problems. I was more than a little stressed. *lol*
My boss calls me at home and tells me someone called our company hotline that afternoon and gave them my tag number and reported me doing something wrong in my company truck. He could not tell about the report but informed me I had to meet with HR the next morning. I was sweating all night trying to figure out what I may have done. I didn't remember cutting anyone off or running any red lights???
Friday morning I sat down with the HR lady and my boss. She read me the report. "The driver of this truck was smoking a crack pipe on Harkrider St in Conway! I know it was a crack pipe because it was too long to be a tobacco pipe"!! At first it did not dawn on me what was going on. I responded, "I have never done drugs of any type and any drug test you want to give me will substantiate that". Then my boss asked me about turkey calls or duck calls and it clicked. I went out to my truck and retrieved the "crack pipe" to show them. A Dave Constantine hunter grade trumpet yelper that always hangs on my rear view mirror. I was playing it at the stop light while waiting to get on the freeway.
I admit it, I am addicted to turkey calls!!! Due diligence required that I take that drug test. Does anyone know of a 12 step program for a junkie like me???

That is quite a story and I can see it happening! Once had a guy, looked really rough and high, do a doubletake when walking past my booth. He came back, looked at the wingbones on display and said "Hey dude, what are those things?" The guy set up beside me about split a gut laughing. He informed me that the guy thought I was running a "Head Shop".

That is the funniest thing I've heard all week! Thanks for sharing... Needed a good laugh.

That explains all the strange looks I get when I go into a convience store during turkey season with a trumpet hanging from my neck.

That just made my week! Absolutely hilarious!
