I dont post many pics of calls I make,but since the season went out,ive built A few.
I built this little cedar box first and it sounds great to me.

Then I built this longer cedar box next.

Then I built this purple heart last week...I still havent finished tuning it or sprayed it yet either...Boy its loud!

Then yesterday I was cutiing the cedar inlay for the hybrid cedar and purpleheart lid...and as you can tell from the pics,I caught my two fingers in the table saw! OUCH...cut to the bone on both...So I probably wont finish it for A while...Just when I was on A roll too!

All look nice!! Man take care of those you only get one pair of them. What happened to cause you to hit the blade so maybe I will not make the same mistake.

I was reaching for the cut off and the blade grabbed my thumb and snatched my forefinger into the blade...Just stupidity on my part.

Nice job on those calls Dave, tuff to find some relief after a good season.  Becarefull with them tools.  Bullock cut himself bad a while back with a chiesel

Watch those fingers!! glad that it wasn't any worse..I know it could have been...I always use push sticks with my table saws.
I'll bet that all purpleheart caller is a real screamer. *up*
Did you chip those points? they look pretty nice.

Did you chip those points? they look pretty nice.

I normaly use push sticks too...I was tryin to grab the thin cutoff before it fell down in the saw,and just missed my grab...Just careless.
The pupleheart is shonuff loud...Ive still got some work to do on it...When my fingers heal up.
The points are real,not reproductions...Thats just A few ive found so far this year...I normaly dig in the creek for points every weekend this time of year...But the doctor says I must stay out of the creek till my fingers heal up...Dont want to get the flesh eating desease.

Ouch!  Been there... same thumb, same dumb mistake back when I was just a pup in high school shop.   Nice looking calls though... take care of those fingers!
