Title: Talladega National Forest, AL

I am thinking of hunting the Talladega National Forest next Spring with a friend. Has anybody hunted this area before and how is the turkey population and hunting preasure. My friend has hunted this area a few times but not recently. Thanks for any help. I think he said we will be around the Clay County area.

It depends on where you go. There is heavy pressure out toward White Plains but there is a lot of birds. According to a lot of local people they had good luck out there this year. Be prepared to climb hills. Most of it is up and down.

I think he said we are going to camp at the Turnipseed camp and hunt the western side of the mountain. I don't mind the hills. I have some big hollars and hills here in Eastern KY I hunt. I am used to hunting public ground as I live in the middle of the Daniel Bone National Forest. Thanks for the warning and the info.

Look me up if ya head this way! I ain't far south of there, I could come calling for ya!!!! I'm lazy I hunt in the back yard need to start expanding my horizons in bama!!!
