Well most of you know that ol' fargobox Scott Witter makes a great turkey call with awesome woodburnt art on them . But I am now privy to something few people know about him. That man makes some of the best jelly you will ever taste !! After our recent hunt , Scott presented me with two jars of his home made wild black raspberry jelly. He explained how he waits until just about the same day every year and then heads to his favorite raspberry patch. I couldn't wait to get a taste of it when I got home and let me tell ya ... I'd put that **** on everything ! Just kidding , but it really is the best black raspberry jelly I have ever tasted . Well done Scott ! Just one thing ... those jars were awful little. Maybe you could see fit that I get some more each year !

Looks good. Just about time to start picking raspberries down here. Except they never make it into jelly here. They are little ice cream magnets. *lol*

Ahhhh a fine picture. Like callmaking picking wild black raspberries is a passion of mine and has been for more than 30 years. It is akin to trout fishing with my favorite patches secretly hidden with only my knowledge of their worth of black gold that awaits. Typically up here I will start picking about July 4-7th and pick vogorously for about 2.5 weeks. Ya get simply eaten a live by misquitoes, but it is all worth it to watch the young fawns underfoot and as well poults running here and there and naturally harvest plenty of Mother Natures fruits.
Glad you liked it Bob...we have so durn much of it we find ourselves spreading it on just about any edible...goes real good in yogurt, on pancakes, anything toasted of course, on ice cream, corn muffins...many more and simply by the spoonful *up*

Nice work Witter! The black raspberry has always been a personal favorite. There are not too many round here. But on the other hand, we are covered up with blackberries and red raspberries (some folks here call 'em wine berries). The red's grow so thick in places they are like weeds. Super sweet tho.

Blackberries are good, but for me nothing beats the FLAVOR *up* *bannana*of wild black raspberries.

Glad you found a good use for all of those empty mason jars that popcorn came in. I love me some good jelly ! *bannana*

I bet ole Witter has more RECYCLED empty jars than he has Rasberries to fill ...... ;D

Never had raspberry....... would love it. My Fav here is Blackberry.
