I was fortunate enough to enjoy a late-season hunt with my Dad and take this fine Kansas Rio. I can now say I have successfully killed a gobbler when the wheat was golden and nearly ripe (May 16).

It is amazing what our rigs can do if the nut behind the buttplate is tightened up. This one what out there about 35+ measured yards and after I shot, my Dad said "Aren't you going to run out there and get him!? He didn't even flop.....

Congrats. on a nice late season bird.
