Sitting on the ridge of these blessed hills. Had one going at 75 yards but the hen to my right sounded more attractive. Tomorrow is last day here in West Virginia. I'll have my dekes in that gas line.

Wish I could just hear one...they have all shut up as it seems the breeding is over. I know they are there, but they are all quiet. Found several hens yesterday and even got one fired up but no longbeards came in to see what all the fuss was about *cry* Good luck to you Steve.

Well, the hen took him off to my right. I crossed the ridge and got in front of them. I gave him an hour before I called again. He answered immediately. I shut up. I could see that white head bee bopping up the hill but at 150 yards he turned left and walked out the flat. He would gobble but not turn. I ridged him again. Now 3 to 4 hundred yards in front. No reply and no show. I'll be in the gas line tomorrow where he touched down with my hen deke.
