Im proud to say that my 13 year old neice Bryanna Guthridge had shot this bird last Saturday morning. This was her first gobbler ever. She had missed one with us early in the youth season ,and while out hunting with our good friend Don Mowhrey she closed the deal on this stud.
22 lbs gutted, right hook 1" 9/16 , left hook 1" 7/16...Beard length 11 5/8. The taxidermist said after 20 years this is the biggest bird by far he has ever seen come in. Don had called this bird in in the youth season for another girl and she never got a shot at it. He claimed that it was the biggest bird he had ever seen. I guess he was right on. The locals deemed this bird the "Soldier hill Sasquatch".
