Anyone ever experiment using Black Locust for strikers or any other Turkey gear?

I've turned a pile of black locust for strikers. Love the look of the wood and there's great sound on just about any surface.

Black locust is my biggest seller and the first out of my vest.
I also had Mudpuppi turn me a trumpet out of locust.
