Title: First 2012 Shannon County Bird

I crossed a holler and climbed a mules face to get to this bird. He was in an old log deck. I set down wrong and was beat from the get go. He moved down the ridge after a little over an hour of tormenting me. I moved up to his strut zone and threw a desperate cackle along with a long loud lost call. He gobbled twice I think then shut up. The next thing I know I thought I heard a drum then I know I heard him drumming coming back. When he cleared the log pile,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the lord called the poor thing home.
