Title: fort campbell
Post by: strutnrut on March 24, 2012, 07:35:36 PM
Well the start was good. Tyler connected along with Steve's Dad and what a bird did he kill. The longest spur was 1 3/4 inch and cracked and the tip of the other was broken off spur. I will let Tyler tell the his story.

Me I connected on a gobbler we listened to for a couple of hours this morning. after getting soaked to the bone, the clouds cleared up and the sun started to show. I got it fired up on a yelper and he came intp about fifty yards but wouldn't come thru the thick stuff then he circled by the old road and it cost him dearly.

I'll let these be the judge any day. 5 DOA in two days.  OH by the way this one is for ???

We killed 2 more today one about 9 am the other about 1:30 pm. The first one came in behind a couple of ladies and the second one came about 500 yards off the impact area in high wind. You could her him gobble when the wind lay a bit.  Had to use a yelper, pot and Tyler hit him with a box to seal the deal.  I went out about 3 pm and got smoked by a couple of toms they came into about 75 yards but had other places on their minds. The second one was wanting to come in but the other one just pulled him away from me. I'd tell ya'll how many we heard on the roost over on the impact but I can;t count that high.  ROTFLMBO
