Hello All!
It is with great pride that I present the following two turkey harvest pictures.. Although these are not my kills, I'm very pleased to have a connection to them.
In late February a fellow I met on a forum ordered one of my deluxe grade yelpers (dark stained 3-piece call with a brass ferrule). He had never used a call of this type before and when he received it he wrote me this note:
Got it today and I can't wait to put it in the field!!! Awesome! I think you've turned me into a cane yelper fan. Literally within 5 minutes I sounded respectable (to me) and have been playing around with it all evening. It's amazing how you can vary your tones with one. Can't wait to show a dead bird with it next to him.
Well, danged if on the opening week of the Florida season this fella didn't call in and kill not one but two beautiful Osceola gobblers with my yelper and a Mike Yingling friction call! (..and I'm well aware that Mike's friction call probably had a lot to do with the harvests as well ;))

...Gobbler number one...

...Gobbler number two...
..Anyway.. These are the first two birds to fall by a hunter who used one of my callers.
...Now I think I know how all you call makers feel when someone has a successful hunt using one of your calls! *cheers*
..By the way, these are the first two gobblers ever killed by this hunter!.. Icing on the cake!

..Thank you!.. There is an interesting story about that particular call.. It was in fact my "3rd choice" call for entry
in the SE Nationals call competition in Raleigh this year... I'm so very pleased that this call ended up in a hunter's
hands that appreciates the sound and the time I spent making the call....as opposed to someone who would just
keep the call in a cabinet... The latter of which I am all too guilty of! :-\

Congrats *up*

That's sure a good way to break into Turkey Hunting. Two very nice Birds.
Congrats Ken on your call being part of the hunts.

Almost as much fun as pulling the trigger yourself isn't it Ken? *lol*
Congrats to both of you.
