Title: The perfect trumpet lanyard !
Post by: Shadetree Callers on February 20, 2012, 06:28:10 PM
Last year I got a really nice braided lanyard from Shannon Reese . It is the same type that you see in all the top waterfowl shops . I really liked it , but felt it was a bit thick and heavy for just a couple trumpets . So I asked Shannon if he could go back to the drawing board, so to speak , and make one that would work better for me . I told him to pick a very fine cord to use so that it would be much smaller in sixe and lighter in weight .
Well he found some appropiate cording and brought it to Nashville . I took one look and said that it looked perfect . Shannon and his lovely daughter , sat down in our booth and went to work on the new styel for me . When they finished with it , I knew right away that they had just made a winner in my book . This lanyard is absolutely perfect for a couple calls and it fits well around the neck . You hardly even know it's there when you have it on . This will always be with me in the field from now on . If you carry a trumpet when you hunt then you need to get on Shannon's list for one of these "ShadeTree" Models !! LOL !
Shannon , thanks to you and your Daughter for this excellent hunting accoutrement ! When do I get another ??
