Made this call for one of my soldier buddies. He wanted an aluminum so I put it over glass. I embedded a 101st Airborne Division coin.

An Air Assault Coin is issued to everyone who completed Air Assault Training.  10 days of heck.

To a Screaming Eagle the coins are used to build Esprit De Corp in the form of a challenge between Air Assault Troops. If someone coined you and you don't have your coin then you have to do 10 to the wind. If you have your coin then the challenger has to do the push up. They would do it all the time during PT like you have a pocket.   Commander and CSM would do it all of the time if you had an inspection. If they coined a group only the ones who didn't have their coins pushed.

To most it's a pretty coin to us WELL you just have to have been there and got that tee shirt.
